1. What is Broadband Plus?
The service is a combination of broadband internet access and Value Added services, such as WiFi router, internet security software and a number of email accounts, all bundled in one package.

2. What types of Wireless routers and Internet Security Suites will I be able to choose from?
Currently, the WiFi routers available are from US Robotics and Linksys, while the Internet security software is Norton Internet Security Suite .

3. When should I expect my WiFi router to be delivered?
Suppliers are expected to deliver and install the WiFi Routers within 24 working hours .

4. If I’m an existing broadband user, can I migrate to broadband Plus?
Yes, and you will get to enjoy the value added services without any additional changes. Please refer to our tariff sheet for details of packages and associated tariffs.

5. Can I cancel or cease my broadband Plus service?
Yes, you may do so anytime but must pay the remaining of the WiFi router and the Internet Security suite. No cancellation penalty is applied.

6. Can I migrate to any other broadband Plus packages?
Yes. You may migrate to any Broadband Plus services, and continue the terms of the first/original agreement ( 12 months ) and then choose to either renew or cancel the agreement.

7. Can I migrate to broadband packages without agreement ?
Yes. Migration to other broadband services without an agreement will result in terminating the WiFi router and security software’s Value added services, and charging the reminder of such services to customer’s current bill. The Free emails accounted as part of the value added services ( for free ) will be changed to additional emails, with monthly rental. Should the customer decide to terminate such emails along with other value added services, she/he may do so without incurring any additional service changes.

8. Can I request additional Value Added Services with broadband Plus services ?
Yes, you may request any Value Added Service to be included within your Internet account such as additional e-mail, roaming ,etc..

9. Who will maintain and support my WiFi router and Internet Security software ?
The respective suppliers of the WiFi routers and Internet security suite will be responsible for supporting the hardware and software parts of the package. Batelco will be providing support of the Internet Service only .

10. How long will the WiFi router and Internet Security suite support be provided ?
The respective suppliers of the WiFi routers and Internet security suite will support customers for 12, which is the full term of broadband plus service, should a customer decide to renew the package, the support will continue to cover the renewed agreement for an additional 12 months .

12. What is Batelco Usage Policy?

Batelco has a Fair Use Policy (FUP), and it was introduced to make sure all customers get fast and reliable Broadband services and to give our customers the control over their access speeds and monthly payments.

All packages come with unlimited free usage, different access speeds are applied on after reaching different usage levels associated with each package.
- For Inet Broadband 256k package, access speed will be 64kbps after reaching 2 GB monthly usage level.
- For Inet Broadband 512k package, access speed will be 64kbps after reaching 8 GB monthly usage level.
- For Inet Broadband 1 Mb package, access speed will be 128 kbps after reaching 15 GB monthly usage level.
- For Inet Broadband 2Mb package, access speed will be 128 kbps after reaching 25 GB monthly usage level.
Customers may re-set their service to the maximum speed, by choosing from the following two options:
A- Unlimited usage with Maximum Speed :
Optional choice for those customers who wish to continue at the maximum applicable speed once the above Fair usage policy applies. Extra Usage at maximum speed will be charged at the rate of 10 fils/MB

B- Unlimited usage with self Control :
Optional choice for those customers who wish to continue at the maximum applicable speed once the above Fair usage policy applies. Customer can go for up to BD 10 extra over their monthly rental based on the rate of 10 fils/MB for extra usage with Maximum speed. After this all usage is FREE but at various speeds based on package."
