1. Service Description
Broadband PC offers Batelco customers the option of choosing between a desktop PC and a Laptop bundled with a Broadband 512k connection.

2. What types of PCs and Laptops will I be able to choose from?
Currently the brands available are: HP, Dell, Apple and Fujitsu-Siemens.

3. How can I apply for the services?
You may apply for this service at all Batelco Customer Service Centers by filling the application form. You will have to pass the credit check procedure to be entitled for this service.

5. What is the credit check procedure?
The credit check is an automatic routine to verify the customer’s credit history, to restrict the service to credit-worthy customers.

6. What happens if I don’t pass the credit check?
If you fail the credit check procedure, you may apply for the service jointly with a guarantor, who in turn should pass the credit check.

7. If I am a guarantor, may I guarantee more than one customer?
No, guarantors may stand for one customer only at any one time.

8. Will I have the option to change or return the PC once it has been delivered to me?
Unfortunately there is no change or return policy for this service, unless the supplier agrees to it.

9. Are the PC specifications fixed or will they change?
No, the PC specifications will be revised and upgraded and communicated on a regular basis to ensure that customers receive state-of-the-art PC specifications.

10. If I would request that my PC be upgraded to a higher specification, may I do so and when?
Yes, you may choose to upgrade your PC to a higher specification at any time. To do so, you may liaise directly with the supplier and pay the adjustment separately.

11. When should I expect my PC to be delivered?
Suppliers are expected to deliver the PC within 24 hours of broadband account activation.

12. If I’m an existing Broadband user, can I migrate to Broadband PC?
Yes and your service speed will be migrated to 512K.

13. Can I apply for more than one Broadband PC service?
No, each customer may apply for one Broadband PC service.

14. Can I cancel or cease my Broadband PC service?
If you wish to cease the service, you may do so anytime but, must you pay the remainder of the PC cost.

15. Can I migrate to any other Broadband package?
No, you will have to cease your Broadband PC Service and then migrate to the Broadband Package of your choice. Also, you will have to pay the remainder of the PC cost.

16. Can I request additional Value Added Services with Broadband PC?
Yes, you may request any Value Added Service to be included within your Internet account such as additional e-mail. Also, you may contact the supplier for other PC/Computer peripherals which you will pay for separately.

17. Who will maintain and support my PC?
PC suppliers will be responsible for supporting the software and hardware content of the PCs. Batelco will be providing support of the Internet Service, in addition to acting as customers’ contact point for both PC and Internet service support.

18. How long will the PC support be provided?
PC supplier will support customers for 24 months which is the full term of Broadband PC service.

19. What happens after 24 months have elapsed?
You will have paid for the PC in full and your Broadband service will be switched to the normal Broadband 512k package, or the closest package, at that time. Alternatively, you may request to migrate to any other Internet Service whether it was Broadband or regular dial-up.

20. What are the requirements for Non-Bahraini customers?
Non-Bahraini customers will need a company sponsorship letter, to apply for the service. The letter must state the company’s agreement to guarantee the customer, or otherwise pay against the customer’s bad-debts.
