- Spamming
Sending of multiple or mass copies of either unsolicited or inappropriate letters. (including e-mail braodcast or e-mail marketing)
- Scanning
Using tools to perform Service and Port scanning in an effort to identify Service/Server/Network Weaknesses and Vulnerabilities on Batelco inet network or the Internet.
- Probing or Foot Printing
Using tools to perform network protocol queries to ascertain the logical topology of networks on Batelco inet network or the Internet.
- Spoofing
Pretending to be someone else to gain unauthorized access on Batelco inet Network or the Internet.
- Copyright infringement
Unauthorized distribution or use of copyrighted materials across the Internet.
- Social Engineering
To use lies, deceit, play acting and verbal cleverness to trick Batelco representative or Batelco Internet users into divulging confidential information.
- Virus/Trojan-Horse propagation
The deliberate propagation of malicious code across the Internet.
- Cracking Any activity
Designed to obtain account name or password information of another Batelco Internet user (e.g. brute force and dictionary attacks).
- Hacking
Any activity designed to obtain unauthorized access to systems on the Batelco inet network or the Internet.
- Attacking
Any activity designed to cause interruption to services on Batelco inet Network or the Internet (e.g. Denial of Service attack).
Compliance
Any non-compliance with the above mandatory rules will be investigated by the Batelco inet Security Team and infringements may result in any or all of the following.
- A warning being sent to the offending user.
- Suspension of the offending Internet account.
- Removal of Batelco owned networking equipment at the customer premise.
