What do I need?

Required Equipment:

To connect your Broadband Connection you will need:

1. Active Broadband Connection
2. ADSL Filter to avoid service disconnections.
3. ADSL modem or router with the following features:

• ADSL2+ compatible
• Support PPPOA/ PPPOE connection
• Support VC-MUX / LLC multiplexing.

In addition, for better online security, we recommend the following

• A Personal Antivirus software
• Personal firewall software

How to Get connected:

1. Plug the ADSL Filter into the main telephone socket
2. Connect the power supply cable to the Router
3. Connect the ADSL cable “RJ11”  from the router to the “ADSL input” on the Filter
4. Connect the Ethernet cable” RJ45” to the PC
5. Configure the router

Important Setup Information

Broadband basic Setup:

• Virtual Circuit : (VPI=8, VCI= 35).
• Connection Type: Routed
• Encapsulation: PPPOE
• Multiplexing: VC-MUX

Email Setup:

• Incoming & Outgoing (SMTP & POP3) Server : batelco.com.bh
• Authentication is required before sending any email.

Domain Name Server (DNS) Set- Up

• Primary DNS: 217.17.233.49
• Secondary DNS: 217.17.233.101
