Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) Similar to SMS, MMS (multi-media messaging service) provides automatic and immediate delivery of personal messages.

However, unlike SMS, MMS allows you to enhance your message by incorporating sound, images, and other rich content – transforming your message into a personal visual and audio message.

With MMS, it is not only possible to send your multimedia messages from one phone to another, but also from phone to email.

Multimedia messaging has reshaped mobile communication, making it more personal and more expressive than ever before.

International MMS Service

This service is available to all Batelco mobile postpaid and prepaid customers who have handsets with GPRS/MMS capabilities. It allows mobile customers to send MMS world wide to any mobile. On some networks the recipients will receive an SMS with a link to a web page to retrieve the MMS.

Customers need to ensure they have the appropriate mobile setting in order to send MMS. To activate the service, customers can call 196 and have the settings sent to them over the air (OTA) or alternatively the setting can be downloaded from Batelco menu on their mobile or www.batelco.com.bh/simcardmenu/.

The following rates will apply for this service:

Sending International MMS regardless of size (up to 100Kb): 150 fils
Receiving International MMS: free of charge
